Guests
Edward Vukovic
Edward Vukovic
Edward Vukovic is a Melbourne-based writer and novelist. He currently works as a communications specialist and copywriter and has had work published across numerous publications. When he's not writing about his poor parenting skills or fantasy football or the Eurovision Song Contest, you’ll most likely find him treading on Lego or shouting at the television, convinced the players on-screen will respond to his misunderstood genius. Edward is married to his wonderful and patient wife Vesna and is a proud father to his amazingly talented son Oliver.

Bob Marmion
Bob Marmion
Bob Marmion has had a lifelong interest in Australian military and police history, particularly the colonial era of the 19th century through to 1945. He was a member of the Victoria Police for fifteen years serving in both uniform and the Criminal Investigation Branch as a detective. Over the years, he was involved in the investigation of many serious crimes including murders and manslaughter, armed robbery, fraud, arson and sexual offences. When he left the police force, Bob studied at university as a mature age student before eventually completing a PhD in Victorian history at the University of Melbourne. Following his passion for military history, which dates from his schooldays, Bob was appointed the Fort Queenscliff Historian. Bob has published a number of books and articles on Australian military history and Victorian history. He has also written a true-life murder mystery from the World War2 era, Murder at the Fort.

Fern Schreuder
Fern Schreuder
Fern lives on the Mornington Peninsula with her husband, children and Labrador, Jobe. Fern Schreuder is a Secondary School teacher and a mother to two small boys. She holds a Bachelor of Teaching and a Bachelor of Applied Science, specializing in Human Movement. The General's Log is her first book.

Colin King
Colin King
Colin King is a Bendigo writer, who grew up in Horsham and worked as a major-projects consultant for the Victorian State Government before retiring to write. Along the way, he has played guitar in rock bands, ran marathons, led trekking parties and hand built a weekender in the Grampian foothills. 'Deep Down' is the third novel for his Detective Sergeant Rory James series.

Emmell Sørensen
Emmell Sørensen
Emmell Sørensen is a seasoned walker who in 2017 travelled eight hundred kilometres across Spain to complete a pilgrimage. Emmell planned and trained for five years to prepare for this undertaking, trekking many varied paths in contrasting weather conditions. Emmell is a mother, writer, musician, music therapist, teacher and pastoral carer who has spent her life walking a metaphorical journey with people. Working in hospitals, special education schools and out in the community, Emmell has accompanied people during the most challenging and celebratory times of their lives. It is this interest in people and self that originally inspired the idea of walking a pilgrimage, then writing a memoir. Emmell is a Melbourne based writer living with her husband, Camino Boy. They have four adult children together.

Robert Barclay
Robert Barclay
Robert Barclay grew up in a picturesque English village, a 1000-year history engraved on tombstones and birth records in its Norman Church. Fate intervened when the family migrated to Australia in 1965 and seduced by the sea voyage, he yearned to see the world. During the Vietnam War, he found himself in the murky waterways of The Mekong Delta dismantling booby traps. The inspiration for his writing and charity work comes first-hand from the war-ravaged villages and the children affected by the inhumanity of adults.
