About the ILLUSTRATOR - EMMA HAY
Emma grew up in the heart of rural NSW on her family's century old farm, wher eimagination was her free expression amongst the clouds and landscapes. Emma is now following her passion for Children’s Book Illustration, full time, whilst continuing to run her small business on the side. Emma continues to strive to create whimsical, colourful and fun works for kids, and cares deeply about creating worlds, where children can explore interesting, challenging and entertaining topics that broadens their world and fosters their curiosity. This young artist was recently nominated twice for two of her children book artworks at the CBCA in 2021 and is an artist to watch blossom in the future. Playtime Books is honoured to have her working with our authors and helping their work become something more than even they had imagined.
"A nod to Emma Hay, who has illustrated a book in such defined beauty and charm that reading it to our kids was engaging and extremely enjoyable as they explored the details of Emma's artwork and the wonderous landscape of colours she displayed throughout the book with great care and delicate love for her expression of the story... A very talented and expressive artist with a great future..." Jackie, Playtime book reviewer
“A great book for families with young kids to find simple explanation and build a confident understanding for them to know being a child is not about being perfect but being perfect as you are… Well done, Ms Farrell, a great book…” Dianne, Indie Book reviewer
