Author Bio

Dr Melissa Formica
Melissa completed an Honours degree in Psychology followed by a PhD with an Australian Postgraduate Award scholarship at Deakin University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Professional Psychology and is a registered Psychologist. 
Melissa has published several articles relating to the effects of lifestyle factors on cognitive function and has also co-published a a book chapter on the ‘Mediterranean Diet and Cognition’. Melissa currently works as a Research Fellow in a large regional hospital and works in private practice. This book is the fourth in a series educating children in brain health. ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR: EMMA HAY

Emma is a Brisbane-based illustrator, who grew up in the heart of rural NSW on her family's century old farm. Currently, Emma is now following her passion for children’s book illustration, full time, whilst continuing to run her small business on the side.
Emma continues to strive to create whimsical, colourful and fun works for kids and cares deeply about creating worlds, where children can explore interesting, challenging and entertaining topics that broaden their world and fosters their curiosity.
