Graeme Kanofski
Guest Bio

The author spent a 40 year career in local government in Queensland, many of them as a CEO. His experiences with politicians certainly placed him in good stead to write this tale.

Since retiring from full time work in 2011, Graeme has served on three Government based Boards as a Director.

This is his second book. The first was an autobiography titled ‘The Colours of my Life’. It was written during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.

WHAT IS POLITICAL CORRECTNESS?

Commonly defined as when we are forced to avoid using our common sense, logic or reason, and keep our sensible opinions to ourselves, while other idiots are encouraged to talk crap!

Nigel, the main character in the book, has developed a few sayings in his senior years like ‘It’s not the pace of life that concerns me, it’s the sudden stop at the end.’

Aussie culture is at stake…Save our Humour!

We as baby boomers, made up the first consumer generation. We grew up in the television age, watching mass media emerge from our living rooms, embraced sex-driven, racially integrated rock and roll—Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles—all of it fuelled by the world's first true mass audiences.

But then we grew up. And the world went to crap!

You may know the yarns within this book, but it is how they have been weaved into a story of one family’s life that will enlighten your enjoyment and cause laughter for this modern conception of our culture in review…life is a journey and not a destination, so grab as many laughs as you can along the way.

This book subscribes to this theory…

Reviews

"Today needs its yesterday to know what tomorrow will become and how to prepare for it…this is a work of masterful offence and thought-provoking jokes that history will value for centuries, even if it is hated now...! Great job and about bloody time"
