Author Bio

With a big change in her personal life, Annie decided at the end of 2022 a sea change was in order and moved four hundred kilometres north of Perth to a beautiful country town. Here the beach is a prominent place in her life and the lives of her two dachshunds, Sosaj and Biskit with daily swims and strolls along the shore a given. The coffee shops along the foreshore are a haven for a writer who uses the water as her muse. Although Annie generally writes in the contemporary romance genre, with her Flower Quartet already published, she has recently dipped her toe into writing children’s books - one for each of her three grandchildren, which should be in print over the next two years. Then it’s a return to looking at love in a variety of different situations, mostly taking place in her beautiful home state of Western Australia. And, with a set of early readers based on the adventures of her beloved pups, Annie can’t see the possibility of retirement any time soon.

Lily has a big surprise for Rose, Poppy and Daisy, and it will change their lives in unexpected ways…

Lily was widowed while pregnant with her daughter, Rose; her husband having been killed during active service in the Vietnam War. She never really engaged the thought of remarrying, filling her time building up her baking business from home, which supplied the local supermarket and cafes.

At her 70th birthday celebration, Lily delivered a big surprise to Rose, and her two granddaughters, Poppy and Daisy, that would change their lives in unexpected ways…

At the party, Lily also met Malcolm Vale, a dapper, widowed Englishman, who had also moved into the Retirement Village where her best friend, Ellen, had bought a unit. Lily enjoyed his flirtation at the many social gatherings they encountered one another and loved his wit and humour. However, Malcolm's very demanding daughters disliked Lily, believing she wasn’t of their expected social standing.

Would their friendship and budding romance be strong enough to withstand the interference of those who disagreed with their union? Or would Lily and Malcolm find new love again when they least expected it to happen?

“This is an exceptional romance series and filled with fun and frolicking to make each woman so colourful and unique in her own way yet be inclusive to the entire saga of the other’s adventures. Magical and enjoyable… Can not put them down!” Monica, Indie Book reviewer
