Jade Reynolds is a dedicated detective. Articulate. Intelligent. Ethical.

She manages her 'patch' with her law book in one hand and the gift of compassion in the other.

A series of gruesome killings draw her deeper into the psychotic world of unknown enemies.

Her personal life is bleached of joy by tragedy.

She must prevail to retain her sanity and purpose of intent to stop the killings.

She knows in her heart that she will survive; that she has to muster her all to achieve expectations of herself - before darkness and insanity consume her...

"This is a gripping tale of murder, suspense, love and loss with a background of terrorism and international relations. The seemingly unrelated story lines are woven together with enough intrigue to have you guessing until the end how they all fit together. There are a couple of minor loose ends, but there is a sequel to come so I would assume these will be resolved then.

I rather enjoy a good suspense story and this, my first Jd Murphy novel was no exception. I do have to say however, that if you are not a fan of graphically described, quite gruesome murders and crime scenes, perhaps this book isn’t for you. Some scenes leave very little to the imagination. Still, I will be looking out for the sequel when it is released, not for the gruesome descriptions, but to read more of Detective Jade Reynolds story." Amanda, Beauty and Lace Book Club

"This is a gripping story, with so many themes throughout. It keeps you intrigued, and turning the pages well into the night! Plenty of twists and turns, as you make your way through the story. I am definitely keen to more read Detective Reynolds’ stories, as I enjoyed getting to know her throughout this novel." Raechel, Beauty and Lace Book Club

"The story transcends boundaries, crosses continents, crosses cultures, crosses religions, crosses faith, crosses identities in a very unique and impressive way – if only walls could talk……." Kathy, Beauty and Lace Book Club

"Wow what a book. Jade Reynolds ( main character in this book ) is a police officer who is not to be messed with. This is one of the best thriller books I have read in a long time it has it all..." Deborah, Beauty and Lace Book Club

"A gripping and entertaining thriller that raises questions and thoughts on the unexpected and the unanticipated... Great book and thoroughly recommend..." Douglas, Indie Books reviewer
